How to set up IPTV on iPhone, iPad & Apple TV

Apple devices are the most locked-down of the lot, which actually makes setup simple — everything comes from the App Store and nothing is side-loaded. The limitation is that iOS players cannot record, and Apple TV players are fewer.

Step-by-step

1. Open the App Store on your iPhone, iPad or Apple TV and install one of the players above.
2. Open the app and choose "Login with Xtream Codes API" (in GSE, this is under Remote Playlists → Xtream Codes).
3. Enter your NexOtt username, password and server URL. iOS keyboards capitalise the first letter automatically — turn that off or check the field before saving.
4. Save and wait for the channel list to download.
5. On Apple TV, use the Siri remote to favourite the channels you actually watch; the full list is unwieldy on that interface.
6. To watch on a TV from an iPhone, AirPlay works but adds latency — installing the player directly on Apple TV is smoother.

If something goes wrong

"Invalid credentials" but the details are right

The auto-capitalised first character. Retype the username with the shift key off.

Stream stops when the screen locks

Enable background playback in the player settings, or set Auto-Lock to Never while watching.

Some channels will not open on iOS

A few streams use codecs Apple does not decode natively. Switch the player's decoder setting, or watch those channels on another device.
