How to set up IPTV on Smart TV (Samsung & LG)

Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) both carry IPTV players in their own app stores, so nothing is side-loaded. The trade-off is that the built-in players are less capable than TiviMate — if your TV also has a Fire stick or Android box plugged in, use that instead for a better guide and EPG.

Before you start

Your NexOtt username, password and server URL (emailed within 5–15 minutes of payment).
Apps that work here: Smart IPTV (SIPTV), IPTV Smarters, Net IPTV.
A connection of at least 15 Mbps — 25 Mbps for 4K.

Step-by-step

Open the app store on your TV — Samsung Apps on Tizen, LG Content Store on webOS.
Search for and install one of the supported players above.
Open the app. It will display a MAC address on screen. Write it down — this identifies your TV.
On a phone or computer, open the player's activation page and enter that MAC address. Some players charge a small one-time activation fee; that fee goes to the app developer, not to NexOtt.
Enter the playlist URL we sent you in the field the activation page provides, and save.
Restart the app on the TV. The full lineup loads from the saved playlist.
If your TV offers a "reload playlist" option, use it whenever we add channels rather than reinstalling.

If something goes wrong

MAC address screen never appears

The app is an older build. Uninstall, restart the TV completely (unplug for 30 seconds), and reinstall.

Channels load but the guide is empty

Built-in TV players often need the EPG URL entered separately from the playlist URL. Both are in your credentials email.

Player missing from your app store

Regional stores differ. Change the store region in the TV settings, or use an external box — a Fire stick is the cheapest fix and a better player.
